I offer a bespoke
service and during the initial consultation I can
outline the approaches I am trained in and we can then
look at how best to work together. You may be needing
just a couple of sessions to help you get back on your
way, but then it could be that you would like time to
grow and work with me for a longer period of time.
I first trained in France in Lacanian Psychoanalysis and
then on returning to the UK in 2001 went on to study for
an Integrative Counselling Diploma.
I have been in Private Practice since 1996 to 2001 in
the Dordogne and then from 2005 until 2019 in Kent as
well as offering services by telephone or via the
internet.
I went on to spend 8 years working with clients referred
to Counselling and Psychological Therapy through their
GP in Primary Care in East Kent. Many clients have made
a really good progress with a short term approach and
said that the service I provided made a real difference
to their lives.
I followed this with 5 years as a University Counsellor
at Canterbury Christchurch with students of all ages,
nationalities and walks of life.
I have developed my approach
through extensive training to be able to support clients
with a whole range of reasons for seeking counselling. I
am qualified in EMDR, Interpersonal Psychotherapy for
Depression as well as having CBT training. I use these
skills combined with my deeper knowledge of our human
frailties gained from my initial deeper training in
psychoanalysis in France. |
