If you’re looking for counseling or psychotherapy in France from a compassionate, experienced, English-speaking therapist, you’ve come to the right place. Welcome!

I am an American psychologist living and practicing in Lyon, France. I specialize in working with those living abroad (expats, intercultural couples, international students, third culture kids) who are struggling with emotional or personal difficulties and who want to strengthen their emotional resilience, develop greater self-awareness and self-compassion, build more satisfying relationships, and deepen the sense of meaning in their lives.

I’m passionate about helping my clients overcome their current difficulties and develop the skills they need to navigate future challenges with confidence and self-compassion.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, experiencing difficulties in close relationships, feeling paralyzed by self-criticism and self-doubt, dealing with challenges related to past traumatic experiences, navigating life transitions such as becoming a new parent, losing a loved one, or going through a divorce, or having trouble keeping your head above water while trying to adjust to a new culture, it can be helpful to have some additional support and guidance as you navigate your own healing journey and move toward your goals.

Counseling & Psychotherapy Services for English-Speakers
I work with both adults and adolescents, offering individual counseling and psychotherapy, couples counseling, and group therapy from my office in Lyon.

To learn more about these services and about my approach to counseling and psychotherapy, please visit my website or get in touch with me using the links at the top of this page.

I offer a free initial phone consultation to discuss your current challenges and goals and begin to consider what our work together might look like. This conversation will help us both consider whether there is a good fit between us.

My Qualifications
I received both my Masters and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Penn State University in the United States. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the US in the state of Pennsylvania. I am currently in the process of working to have my degrees recognized by the French Ministre de Enseignement Supérieur so that I can practice with the title of psychologue in France. In the meantime, I am practicing with the title of “counselor,” which is not a regulated title in France.

I have over 10 years of experience providing counseling and psychotherapy. Prior to opening my private practice here in Lyon in 2016, I had 6 years of experience working in university counseling centers (at Penn State University and the University of Delaware) and 6 years of experience working a community mental health center in Pennsylvania.

Getting in Touch
Feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions or to schedule a free initial phone consultation.

It’s important that you work with someone with whom you feel comfortable. If I’m not the right counselor for you, I will do my best to help you find someone who is.
