Counselling provided via online video, voice,
instant messaging and secure encrypted email.

People often choose therapy when life feels difficult or overwhelming. If you are feeling that way at the moment, I'm so pleased that you are considering working with a counsellor. Counselling can provide you with a safe, non-judgemental, private space for you to talk through your issues. My aim is to provide clients who may be experiencing fear, sadness, loss, dilemmas, or other difficult or challenging life events, a confidential and private online space were they can safely explore these issues.

As a BACP registered therapist based in France, I know about the challenges with relocation, adjustment, adaptation, isolation and loss first-hand. Moving from one country to another is a huge step and we can often overlook the impact and the ways in which it has changed our relationship with ourselves and others. As access to English speaking therapists is limited in France, I provide my services online, so that no matter where you are here or the UK, you can securely access psychotherapy.

By working online, you can choose your method of communication. Some clients like to use video counselling (which is similar to Skype), other clients prefer to just use voice counselling (in the way you would on a phone call) because they prefer not to be seen. There are clients who would rather use messaging counselling, like using WhatsApp or SMS. Last but not least, some clients choose email counselling - which doesn't take place during a scheduled 50 minute slot but could slowly take place over a week, as you reflect on events unfolding over time. I offer all these modes of counselling, and give you the choice to change how you communicate as you see fit.

I tend to work on a short-term basis with clients (usually 6 to 18 sessions), so that there is a focus on goals and outcomes. Though counselling and online counselling may not be suitable for everybody - and I would discuss this with you if I thought it was the case - it can be one of the most empowering and positive steps someone can take. I work ethically, following the
BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions, receive regular supervision and I am fully insured.

Taking the next step to contact a counsellor can feel very difficult. I'd encourage you to take a look at my website to get a 'feel' for how I work. If you choose to contact me, you do not need to go into detail about your reasons for choosing, or needing, counselling, as we can look at this this in our first session together. Simply letting me know your availability so that we can arrange a date and time for our first session will be enough. I check my emails daily and will respond usually within 24 hours but no later than 48 hours. I look forward to hearing from you and wish you all the very best.
