I am a US trained, national
certified counsellor (NCC) with a Master of Science in
Clinical Mental Health Counselling from Johns Hopkins
University, Baltimore, Maryland. I have clinical
experience working with transition age youth/young
adults with a severe and persistent mental illness
providing individual and group therapy, in outpatient
community clinic setting. I also have experience working
with culturally diverse groups of children, adolescents,
and adults teaching meditation and yoga, leading
workshops in school and in community settings.
My approach to mental health counselling is person
centred, integrative, and holistic based on
contemplative and yoga practices and informed by regular
supervision, cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational
interviewing, narrative therapy, and play therapy.
The counselling sessions are offered online, and each
session is 50 minutes long. If you would like more
information, I offer a free 30-minute consultation.
